This role includes coordinating project aspects such as estimation, proposals, initiation, safety, profitability, invoicing, and client collections. The Onsite Waste Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for customers and is also responsible for business development and contract administration.<h2>The Team</h2>The Waste Management team is a dynamic and adaptive team committed to continuous improvement and best in class customer service.<h2>Work Environment</h2>The role of Onsite Waste Representative is structured as a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 40-hours, with the potential for overtime depending on project requirements and deadlines.The selected candidate will be required to live in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, or Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.<h2>A Day in The Life</h2><ul><li>Safety Management: Implementing and leading all safety policies and procedures for both SECURE and the client.</li><li>Project Planning and Execution: Managing project schedules, setting objectives, overseeing site activities, and ensuring projects adhere to timelines and budgets.</li><li>Financial Management: Handling invoicing, tracking costs, and ensuring financial accuracy.</li><li>Client Interaction: Engaging with clients and ensuring client satisfaction, fostering strong two-way communication with clients and subcontractors to ensure compliance is maintained.</li><li>Team Leadership: Manage subcontractors by coordinating schedules, ensuring quality standards, adhering to project timelines, and managing budgets.</li></ul><h2>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</h2><ul><li>5 years of related experience.</li><li>Preferred but not required - College diploma or university degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Professional certifications like PMP are preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage large teams and complex projects.</li><li>Must be organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.</li><li>Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards.</li><li>An ability to run heavy equipment is considered an asset.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in. The ideal candidate will be located in the Pouce Coupe or&nbsp; Dawson Creek area.&nbsp;Work Environment&nbsp;This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime.&nbsp;A Day in The Life<ul><li>Safely operate roll off cable truck and trailer in diverse weather and challenging work site environments</li><li>Comply with all site and jurisdiction traffic safety legislation;</li><li>Inspect transport units and loads (pre trip and post trip) to ensure safe operations required by jurisdiction, and or/ NSC standards;</li><li>Attend and participate in Secure Energy safety meetings</li><li>Complete all required daily safety paperwork</li><li>Ensure load is always properly secured and within legal load limits</li><li>Completion and submission on a timely basis of all documentation as required. This includes logbooks, equipment inspection reports, time tickets, accompanying manifests, trip records, fuel, and credit card receipts (JSA’s and WSRA’s);</li><li>Abide by all Secure Energy and customer specific safety procedures;</li><li>Ensure all Secure Energy safety policies and procedures are followed;</li><li>Safely operate cable roll-off truck</li><li>Abide by all Waste Services and customer plant-specific safety procedures</li><li>Ensure all labels are completed in full including shipping name, generator name, approval number, TDG Class, UN number, Packing Group number, load number etc.</li><li>Inspect all waste material to ensure compliance with manifest, recycle docket and bill of lading descriptions</li><li>Communicate effectively daily with Dispatch to maximize customer needs and Secure Energy efficiencies</li><li>Complete minor preventative maintenance such as greasing, air filter checks, brake adjustments and settings</li></ul>Skills, Experience, &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of&nbsp;3 years driving experience in the transportation industry</li><li>Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, load securement and driving regulations</li><li>Solid understanding of Canadian geography, highway systems and remote oilfield locations</li><li>Solid understanding of TDG, specially placarding and manifest completion</li><li>Prior experience in roll-off, bed truck or winch tractor is required</li><li>Class 1 driver certification</li><li>Must have clean drivers abstract</li><li>Must be able to work varied shifts with uncertain start and finish times</li></ul>What’s in it for you:At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
