1st/2nd/3rd Year Apprentice Welder

POSITION SUMMARY

Apprentice welders required for a pipe fabrication shop along with modular assembly located in Crossfield working with spools ranging from ¾” to 48” in diameter.

Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.                                                    

POSITION DETAILS

• Based out of our Crossfield fabrication facility
• Shift is Monday to Friday
• 10 hour days

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist with pipe spool fit up
• Assist journeypersons with rigging and hoisting of spools
• Pipe cutting and end prep of pipe
• Bring material to fitters
• Assist welders with spool set up

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Must be a registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors
