POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our recruitment and HR operations—developing innovative sourcing strategies, building talent pipelines, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and ensuring a best-in-class candidate and employee experience.

You'll work closely with hiring managers, trade schools, industry groups, and internal teams to keep our talent pipeline strong and our HR processes running smoothly. From recruitment to onboarding, data management to employee support—your work will make a direct impact across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Be the first point of contact for all candidates, delivering a positive and professional experience throughout the hiring process
  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and job requirements
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates for various roles
  • Build and maintain active and passive talent pipelines through online sourcing, networking, job fairs, and partnerships with trade schools
  • Attend and represent Strike at career fairs and industry events
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize hiring strategies and report on key trends
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and candidate experience
  • Draft and update job descriptions and specifications in collaboration with hiring teams

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with onboarding, including documentation and pre-employment requirements (e.g., certifications, safety tickets)
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, vacation, and HR policies
  • Support HR initiatives, projects, and program development (e.g., onboarding materials, policy updates)
  • Create internal resumes for use in project bids and proposals
  • Maintain and update employee information in the HRIS
  • Support policy and procedure writing, file maintenance, and other general HR administrative tasks
  • Stay current on HR trends, employment legislation, and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR administrative role
  • Experience recruiting in the construction, energy, or industrial sectors is a strong ass
