COMPANY OVERVIEW

Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities.

Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.

The newly listed company will become North America’s leading building solutions company, with industry-leading market position to meet its customers’ greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and run the asphalt plant
  • Offload hot asphalt oil
  • Run mixing operations on the plant and ensure material quality and compliance with specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and plants including keeping accurate and thorough records of plant performance and production
  • Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including scaling, ticketing, and assisting in asphalt orders
  • Adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies
  • Communicate and promote safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with Company standards
  • Contribute toward the overall success of the safety program by following set rules procedures and practices
  • Identify and report workplace hazards and make positive suggestions for their elimination or control
  • Perform duties in the safest manner and wear prescribed Required PPE at all times
  • Collaborate with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing issues, questions or concerns in a timely manner
  • Monitor operational effectiveness through analysis of Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure consistent production to meet daily orders
  • Responsible for completing daily checklist, journal and reports
  • Contain all spills promptly and notify appropriate authorities immediately, adhering to established written procedures
  • Seek out and implement Best Practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of expereince in operating and running an Asphalt plant, ideally Astec
  • Previous heavy machinery / equipment experience
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities
  • Possesses a good safety mindset.Must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting as the role requires considerable physical activity
  • Must be available for weekend work, night shifts, and overtime, with the ability to work in various climate conditions

Wage Range: $29.15 to $44.85 per hour
