The Opportunity:
The B-Train Driver – Cementing will report directly to the Manager - Logistics. The Driver is accountable for driving trucks and operating pneumatic conveyance systems to deliver cement and chemical mixtures to various locations including plants and well sites. This is a safety sensitive position.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive truck in a safe, courteous manner at all times: shop, yard, on-location and when travelling
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain electronic logs (e-logs); maintains truck logs, according to federal regulations
- Keep paperwork current; this includes maintenance schedules, pre/post inspections
- Work within Hours of Services regulations, and driving Safely according to road conditions
- Maintain the bulker, tractor and trailer, up to CVSA safety standards and report repair work that you are not qualified to do
- Communicate effectively with the crew in the planning and execution of Sanjel services
- Maintain communication with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
- Performs roadside duties such as installing tire chains and Safely secure cargo
- Knowledge of emergency response plans
- Knowledge of health and safety hazards of fluids and chemicals transported
- Knowledge of types of personal protective equipment, correct use, and care
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 3 Years running Super B’s / B-Train units
- Applicable operational training and experience in Cementing or Pressure Pumping Services a significant asset
- Capable of working and driving Safely in extreme working conditions (outdoors, weather, terrain)
- Team focused and a SAFETY conscious attitude
- Certificates in First Aid, H2S Alive, Hours of Service, Fatigue Management, Oilfield Driver Awareness (ODA), and Heavy Haulers are considered an asset
- Individuals with Agriculture, or Military / Canadian Armed Forces experience are strongly encouraged to apply
