We are hiring a Red Seal Machinist to join our team. He/She/They will be responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of CNC Lathes &/or Mills, Manual Lathes, Vertical Mills, precision measuring tools and other equipment as needed. Our machinists must keep impeccable records and complete all paperwork associated with machining. Our working environment is a busy machine shop. Some after-hours support and on-call duties may be required. This position requires being able to lift 50 lbs while handling materials and equipment. This position is a 10-hour shift, 4 days a week with a 3 day weekend. We are seeking one day shift and one night shift position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Setup and operation of CNC and/or Manual equipment as needed to produce the required parts
  2. Ensure production and machining of all scheduled jobs.
  3. Ensure all required preventative maintenance inspections are conducted as needed.
  4. Lead, mentor and assist Operators, Machinists and Apprentices as required.
  5. Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
  6. Ensure dimensions are verified before passing the work piece on to the next stage of the process.
  7. Organization: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple support requests simultaneously.
  8. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others
  9. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing technology and business requirements, with a willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge.
  10. Able to lift 20kgs.
