Overview:

The Co-Processing Alternative Fuel Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the integration of alternative fuels within the production processes of the plant. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of alternative fuel operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, enhancing operational efficiency, and contributing to the sustainability goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment policy, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure area housekeeping is at a safe level daily
  • Ensure all fire detection and suppression systems are in good working order
  • Be the lead Acert assessor for the Richmond plant. (Holcim supplied)


Production:

  • Set expectations with Geocycle to ensure product availability and quality to match the plant's utilization
  • Receive material daily and manage inventory levels to ensure stability of plant operations


Optimization:

  • Work with the production, process, and quality departments to design optimal fuel mix strategy.
  • Lead the weekly OEE team meeting and ensure actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Work directly with the process team to achieve high Performance Rate Indicators


Maintenance:

  • Work directly with maintenance department to ensure equipment availability 
  • Support the daily and weekly walk by inspections of all mechanical equipment
  • Provide technical support and recommendations for future Alternative Fuel system modifications or improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a focus on production/operations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing cross-functional teams.  
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fostering a collaborative work environment.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
