JOB SUMMARY: As a member of Tier 1 Energy Solutions Inc., the Completions Operations Coordinator will report directly to the District Manager – Completions and will be based out of our Leduc, AB location. The primary function of this position is to oversee and install Tier 1’s equipment at customer job sites.

The successful candidate must reside in the immediate area.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Energy Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
  • Running completion and service tools;
  • Making up/redressing completion equipment and service tools in the workshop or at the rig site;
  • Consult with customers concerning products and services, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and insures customer satisfaction with results;
  • Review the job design and confirms that the job packet includes the proper equipment and processes to achieve the job purpose. Identify any additional contingencies that should be provided for;
  • Performs all aspects of the job in compliance with team processes and apply technical knowledge to solve unanticipated situations;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pre and post-jo product and service activities;
  • Properly maintains assigned equipment and interacts with third parties whose activities could impact the process of installing completions products to assure proper coordination;
  • Train Service Specialists in areas of expertise;
  • Conduct and documents all Health, Safety and Environmental related activities at the well site; site assessments and risk analyses, onsite safety meetings, PPE use, etc;
  • Compiles all well site and post- job paperwork and participates in post-job review with their supervisor;
  • Assist and transport and delivery of manufactured materials to and from work site to well site;
  • Assist in the responsibility for the safety and well-being of the location to include all internal and external customers;
  • Available on short notice at all times to respond quickly to customer needs;
  • Maintain a clear driving record;
  • Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effectively communicate/present information to groups of coworkers, customers, or members of the management team;
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts (fractions, ratios, percentages, proportions) to practical situations;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry specifically thru tubing products and services;
  • Capable of working in remote areas;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, calculate reliability and validity and correlations;
  • Ability to mentor and willingness to learn and grow within Tier 1;
  • Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field;
  • Ability to work in a positive team environment;
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools;
  • Required to keep all applicable certifications up to date as required by Tier 1’s Quality and HSE.
  • Ability to operate independently;
  • Ability to champion a company safety culture.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
  • Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
  • Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions;
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
  • Exposure to high noise over 85 dba.

Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or Equivalent Experience;
  • H2S (an asset);
  • Class 5 Drivers License (a must);
  • PST;
  • First Aid/CPR (an asset).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of (3) three years’ experience running completion tools unsupervised;
  • 4-5 years in the Oilfield service industry;
  • Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s policies;
  • 5 years commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1’s guidelines;
  • Results from a back ground check must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s guidelines;
  • Ability to travel;
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
