We are currently looking for Downhole Tool Hands in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan to join our our rapidly growing Operations team. This role will be responsible for running downhole frac tools on Coil Tubing, Service Rigs and Drilling Rigs in areas where Kobold and its clients operate. This position will also ensure the quality of the services provided meet company and client expectations, as well as adhere to company policies and procedures. Core Responsibilities:
- Providing field services related to Kobold’s downhole completions tooling:
- Job logistics including transporting and towing tool trailers from job locations.
- Assembly of tooling and running equipment.
- Adapt equipment configurations to client’s needs.
- Operations problem solving.
- Tooling configuration to client specifications.
- Follow field operations and safety practices at all times.
- Provide continuous feedback to the office.
- Must be able to work long hours and away from home.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- High level of professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
- Understand downhole tool operations.
- Provide a well maintained, professional looking truck that can legally be used to pull 4,545 kg (10,020 lb) work trailers (proof of insurance is required).
Training and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of downhole tool experience.
- Minimum 5 years of service rig, frac, coil-tubing or wireline experience.
- Valid WHMIS, H2S Alive, CSO and Emergency First-Aid certificates.
Additional Requirements:
- Able to lift a minimum of 23 kg (50 lb) on a consistent basis.
- Clean drivers abstract is required.
