Job Purpose:

Our Fort St. John Production Chemicals team seeks a full-time Class 3 or 5 driver. This position is responsible for safely securing and hauling totes, pails, and drums. The successful individual should have experience transporting dangerous goods per federal guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain an accurate and detailed electronic logbook in accordance with federal driving requirements.
  • Properly secure and inspect equipment and trucks to ensure safe travel and load securement.
  • Keep equipment clean and complete routine maintenance.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively to prevent the risk of injury and/or property damage.
  • Work in adherence to safe work practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies:

The individual in this role will have:

  • Experienced Deck Truck driver with a Valid Class 3 or 5 Drivers license and clean abstract
  • Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid).
  • Strong familiarity with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
  • Proficient with electronic logbooks, permits, and federal driving requirements.
  • Reside within the Fort St. John area along with a familiarity with local roads and work sites.
  • Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.
  • Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated.
  • Strong detail orientation with computer skills.
  • Solid communication and customer service skills.
