Electrical & Controls Engineers/Technologists

Rangeland Engineering is seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated individuals to join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineering & design team. Multiple roles available depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Competencies:

Control Systems

• Control system architecture design (various platforms)
• Network infrastructure design
• I/O Schematics/Loop Diagrams – development and production
• Control panel layouts and control power distribution – development and production
• Control system database – development and maintenance
• I/O assignment management
• Control system documentation development (Shutdown Keys, Control Narratives, etc.)

Electrical Systems

• Power system modelling and analysis
• Power system protection and control schemes development
• Single Line Diagrams and Electrical Schematic Diagrams development
• Substation engineering and design
• Power distribution system engineering and design
• Hazardous Area Classification study and report preparation
• Raceway, lighting, and equipment design
• Electric Heat Tracing engineering and design
• Equipment specification
• Material Requisition development 

General

• Team mentoring and oversight
• Drawing package development and checking

Qualifications:

• Degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant engineering or design field
• APEGA membership required for engineering roles
• US engineering license(s) considered an asset for engineering roles on US projects
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
• Site construction or operations experience are considered an asset
• Spanish speaking considered an asset
