Great North, a Dril-Quip Company, is actively searching for multiple Field Service Technician - Frac - Jr. Lead for our MWFC Division (Multi-well Plug and Perf and Frac Missile) in Red Deer, Edmonton, and Grande Prairie.

Schedule: 15 days on/6 days off (14 Hour days)

Location: Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Red Deer

Starting at $33/hour

Job Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Company Health, Safety, & Quality Policies, participating in any associated training, processes and procedures
  • Use mechanical and power vehicles (forklifts/pallet jacks) to load and unload goods from storage racks and points within our facility to compliment duties, on the job training provided
  • Safely use hand-tools and various manual methods of material handling as required, safely lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Ensure lifting devices, cranes, and forklifts are inspected and documented daily as per company requirements.
  • Lead and direct other field techs in all components of their jobs to ensure service excellence.
  • Lead and execute: Frac Operations, Wireline Operations, Coil Operations, Valve Maintenance. - Greasing, Installation & Uninstallation of MWFC/MWPC equipment, Hydraulic torqueing
  • Demonstrate safe use and proper maintenance for hydraulic torque tools, HPU installation and operation, Installation of wellhead components.
  • Complete all documentation requirements. – JHA, QMS documentation, fleet, timecards and expense forms.
  • Oversee and complete the tear down & rebuild of pressure rated equipment, Hydrostatic testing of pressure rated equipment, Work Order Assembly for upcoming projects, Disassembly of returning equipment from field operations, Shipping and Receiving of Frac equipment
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area by keeping surfaces clean, garbage’s emptied, tools put away: Disposing of worn/damaged equipment, Maintaining a clean work environment in Grease distribution center, Wash exterior/interior of fleet vehicle upon return from the field, dispose of all garbage.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years wellhead / frac equipment experience.
  • Gate Valve knowledge / repair experience.
  • Valid class 5 license and ability to be insured commercially
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
  • H2S, First Aid and CSO certifications are an asset
  • Fall Arrest and Aerial platform certifications an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Willingness to travel and assist in other branch locations.
  • Must meet the physical demands and requirements of the job on a regular and consistent basis: This role involves regularly lifting 50lbs, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, walking and/or sitting for extended periods of time. In addition to the physical nature of this position, this role involves performing tasks in severe weather conditions as required.

Job Type: Full-time
