Lafarge Construction provides Construction services in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Concrete Finisher Lead Hand
To join our team for residential and municipal concrete projects. As a Concrete Finisher - Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of concrete curbs, sidewalks, and other residential and municipal structures. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete crew members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
- Assist with the preparation of work sites, including setting up forms, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces.
- Operate and maintain concrete construction equipment and tools.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior crew members to develop their skills and expertise in concrete construction.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

- Monitor quality control and ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete construction, with a focus on residential and municipal projects.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, curing methods, and surface treatments.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
