Responsibilities
- Ensure cost-effective manufacture of components to the required standards and company objectives
- The machining of components to specified drawings while maintaining quality and efficiency
- May require overtime and shift work as decided by the department management
Knowledge & Skills
Must be willing to work in and participate in a conscious environment
Must be motivated and have good communication skills
Candidate must have a positive attitude with the ability to work well with others and on their own
Produce quality products based on engineering drawings with minimal defects
G code and conversational programming
Familiarity with Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhain and Fagor control is advantageous
API/Grant Prideco rotary shoulder connection experience is an asset
Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and asset
Education
Must be a registered in a post-secondary Machinist training program
Registered Journeyman Machinist is considered an asset
Equivalent recognized training
Experience
CNC Lathe and/or Mill experience is required
Familiarity with Gibbs Cam software is a desirable asset
Experience with oilfield, automotive or aviation manufacturing in a service/jobber shop environment is an asset
