Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and supervise mechanical or electrical maintenance activities to achieve the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness to maximize equipment availability of plant equipment at the lowest optimum sustainable maintenance cost in compliance with OH&S and environmental rules and regulations, following the maintenance guidelines of the Cement Industrial Framework (iCIF) and Maintenance Management System (MAC).
Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Follow the rules and regulations defined by the company as well as the legal ones of his country, support the elaboration of safety standards for their area, control the leakages and follow the environmental rules.
Maintenance Operations:
- Supervise the execution of the daily/weekly preventive and corrective maintenance tasks assigned to the team
- Recommend technical improvements for cost reductions and equipment maintainability and reliability
- Administrate work order system by generating notifications, closing work orders and recording data base and trends
- Assure the quality of the job of maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in the field
- Assure the right storage of lubricants and cleanliness of the warehouse and the maintenance shop, take care of the inventory levels
- Optimize efficiency or completed work orders, and balance the workload for each week of the year
- Participate in weekly planning meetings as well as in the major shut-down meeting to coordinate jobs with other departments
- Responsible for the timely response to repair requests
- Guarantee the correct and on time execution of work, interpret the results and generate actions based on inspection
- Report any abnormality in the weekly meetings
- Monitor job duration, cost and performance of crew and subcontractors working under their responsibility
Planning & Cost Control:
- Collaborate with the planning team with the development / optimization of job planning
- Follow and report the Maintenance Planning KPIs, maintenance cost compared to budget, third party service cost analysis, unplanned downtime and work order efficiency
- Assist in preparing the annual maintenance budget
- Follow-up and provide feedback to the planning team about availability of his team
People Management:
- Establish the training program needed for his personnel, schedule available suppliers training based on Frame Contract.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Coordinate meetings with suppliers to check new/innovative developments or new techniques available to optimize the workload and the equipment
- Provide assistance in the mechanical design and execution of plant projects
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education / experience
- 5 years of maintenance experience in cement or similar heavy industry
- With previous supervisory experience in a union environment
- Knowledge of cement production process
- Ability to work self-directed
- Knowledge of CIF (Cement Industrial Framework), MAC (Maintenance Cement), HAC (Holcim Asset Code System), CbM (Computer based Monitoring), Project Management Approach (PMA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Cost Basics preferred, FMEA Concept
- MEDP Certification preferred.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement actions
- With valid driver's license
