Market Research Analyst
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Market Research Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on performance metrics and KPIs related to marketing and sales campaigns and channels to inform strategic development. Additionally, this role supports the Marketing Manager by generating and analyzing market and customer data to aid in the creation and continuous improvement of market strategies and business plans.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide bi-monthly reports on marketing and sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Develop and introduce methods for collecting metrics on marketing channels and campaigns.
- Support the integration of lead data and the lead qualification process within the CRM system.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of brand and marketing strategies.
- Train stakeholders on Argus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Systematically gather, record, and analyze data on customers, competitors, products, and the market using various methods, including interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, market analysis surveys, public opinion polls, and literature reviews.
- Analyze data to interpret market trends, gain deeper consumer insights, and provide a holistic analysis that tells a story.
- Translate data into actionable information for stakeholders through impactful storytelling and data visualization.
- Formulate reports and make recommendations for market, product, and customer identification.
- Support company strategy by providing insights from market analysis to grow the customer base and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
- Provide information to aid in the planning and development of brand, eCommerce, digital, and retail strategies as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce or business administration.
- 3-6 years of experience in market research, market analysis, or business analytics, ideally within a B2B manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and Project Management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of marketing analytical tools such as Google Analytics is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing concepts and metrics.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, computer software related to business operations (ERP) and CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry is preferable.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices, Quality Assurance requirements, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) principles and the ability to impart that knowledge to others is preferable.
