Overview

As a Precast Lead Hand at our concrete precast plant, your primary objective is to oversee and coordinate operations to improve workflow efficiencies and minimize costs. You will lead a team of production workers, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met and production schedules are adhered to. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing the efficiency of our facility and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality precast products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of production workers in the manufacturing of precast concrete, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Train and mentor production staff on proper techniques and procedures for casting, finishing, and handling precast concrete products.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications for precast elements.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in precast concrete manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of precast concrete production processes, including casting, curing, finishing, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using basic tools and equipment related to precast concrete manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required to meet production demands.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in concrete technology or a related field is preferred.
