Right now, we are looking to hire a Purchasing Agent, based out of our Fort St. John office.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication. Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.
• Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.
• Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.
• Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices. Attend Safety Meetings regularly.

Qualifications Required:

• Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Must be an effective listener with effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time sensitive tasks at one time.
• Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Participation in On Call Schedule
