Key position functions include:

  • Ensure compliance of products through dimensional, visual and other inspection methods.
  • Ensure proper documentation is supplied or created as required.
  • Conduct dimensional inspection on products.
  • Ensure that proper traceability is maintained on all products.
  • Complete all reporting and documentation as required.
  • Perform hardness testing as required.
  • Review and approve Material Test Reports, Inspection reports, etc.
  • Advise Engineering/Production of any missing requirements or issues with Work Order notes (missing specifications, inaccurate descriptions, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Machine Shop Inspection training / experience required (minimum 5 years) – dimensional inspection, hardness testing, understanding of technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of API 6A and 6D preferred.
  • Understanding of basic trigonometry.
  • Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset.
  • Forklift and crane operation an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with coordinate measurement machines (portable - FARO or Hexagon) preferred.
  • Experience with Verisurf and or Mastercam for coordinate measurement machines.
  • Ability to maintain deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
