Overview
Your responsibilities include material sampling and testing of raw materials for use in Concrete. The objective of this position is to ensure that the products and processes meet the established quality standards in the most efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Sampling and testing raw materials for use in Concrete
Ensure Concrete Laboratory follows all CSA/CCIL requirements
Trouble shooting problems at the concrete plant and onsite
Assist in Research and Development of new concrete products
Must project professionalism with both customers and co-workers
Qualification Profile:
Education:
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (Prefered), C.E.T designation(Prefered)
Experience:
Valid drivers license with good driving record
Strong computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a willingness to learn
Demonstrates initiative, responsibility and strong work ethic
Ability to work safely following all safety and environmental requirements
Excellent organizational skills
Rate of Pay:
Hourly Non-Union - $22 per hour for regular time; 1.5x pay rate for overtime; 2x pay for working Sundays

Travel
This position requires travel to sites between Red Deer and Sylvan Lake.
