Overview
Lafarge, one of Canada’s leading suppliers of ready mix concrete has a requirement for Ready-Mix truck drivers for the Marathon area for the upcoming construction season. These positions will be defined as part-time seasonal and could possibly become full-time if work load warrants it; some locations operate all year round.
Lafarge offers a competitive hourly wage in addition to a full range of company paid benefits for permanent employees.
Responsibilities
- Delivering concrete to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Up keep of truck appearance, assist with light maintenance around the Concrete plant
- Paperwork – circle checks, delivery ticket information.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Grade 12 diploma
- Experience:
- A clean driving record.
- 3- 5 years of experience in the trucking industry preferred
- Training will be provided for operating the Ready Mix truck.
- Physical Attributes:
- Lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, etc.
