
Regional Quality Lead
Summary
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Regional Quality Lead & Auditor (Electrical) to support field teams in executing Strike’s Quality Management System (QMS) across all projects. This role is focused on conducting technical audits, providing expert guidance, and helping project teams maintain compliance with CSA C22.1 and other applicable quality codes and standards.
Working closely with construction and fabrication personnel, this position helps ensure consistent application of the quality program, supports the development of quality documentation, and contributes to the continuous improvement of project execution in alignment with industry regulations and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and schedule electrical audits to ensure compliance with CSA C22.1, project specs, and provincial regulations.
- Review technical documentation, including electrical drawings and specifications, for conformance to applicable standards.
- Deliver audit reports outlining findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
- Follow up on audit findings and verify closure of action items.
- Provide performance feedback to teams and leadership, identifying trends and opportunities for risk reduction.
- Advise engineers, contractors, and stakeholders on electrical quality and code compliance.
- Lead or support the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.
- Stay current with evolving codes, standards, and QMS updates, ensuring their integration across the organization.
- Drive quality culture initiatives using data, AI tools, and modern reporting systems.
- Draft and refine technical procedures and quality documentation across multiple disciplines (electrical, structural, instrumentation, mechanical).
- Ensure alignment with ISO 9001:2015 and internal QMS standards.
- Support regulatory and third-party QMS audits.
- Mentor field quality teams and provide interpretation of relevant CSA, ASME, and industry standards.
Engage and support construction teams with accurate knowledge and interpretation of current ASME, CSA construction codes.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Journey person Electrician.
- Certified Auditor (Internal/Lead)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience as an Electrical Quality Auditor or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of CSA C22.1 standards and other relevant electrical codes.
- Expertise in electrical codes and quality assurance within Oil & Gas construction.
- Solid understanding of industry acts, regulations, and certified provincial quality programs.
- Skilled in reviewing construction drawings and applying QA/QC requirements.
- Familiarity with ITPs, turnover packages, and technical reporting.
- Strong technical writing skills for procedures, forms, and field documents.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with QMS databases and reporting systems
Working Conditions
- Flexibility for weekends and evenings may be required.
- Work performed in a mix of indoor/outdoor, field, and high-elevation environments.
Frequent travel to project sites and fabrication facilities.
