Structural Engineer
About the Role
Exchanger Industries Limited (EIL) is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle of custom-engineered industrial equipment and modular packages. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply connected to fabrication — ideal for a structural engineer who enjoys seeing their designs built, not just reviewed.
You will act as the structural design authority, supporting projects from proposal and detailed engineering through fabrication, shipment, and field support. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Drafting & Design, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver practical, fabrication-ready solutions that meet code, schedule, and budget.
Our Values (RISE)
At EIL, we don’t just talk about values — we expect them to show up in our work:
Respect & Safety First – Physical and psychological safety always come first
Integrity in Action – Accountability, professionalism, and doing the right thing
Seek Growth Through Curiosity – Continuous learning and innovation
Excellence in Team Collaboration – Strong partnerships that deliver results
What You’ll Be Doing
Structural Design & Analysis
Perform structural analysis and design for industrial structures including air coolers, modular skids, platforms, walkways, and equipment supports (saddles, skirts, baseplates)
Complete static and dynamic analysis, including natural frequency checks and time-history analysis
Perform lifting, transportation (road/sea), and handling analysis for modularized structures
Design lifting lugs, anchor bolts, steel connections, and seismic ductile detailing
Conduct FEA for thin plates and shells associated with structural components
Prepare detailed calculation packages, reports, and support reaction documentation
Project & Technical Support
Act as the structural engineering liaison throughout project execution
Participate in internal and customer kickoff meetings
Review specifications, scopes, POs, and project documentation to identify risks and requirements
Provide clear, practical technical guidance to balance quality, cost, and schedule
Support and guide the drafting/design team through reviews and design intent clarification
Fabrication & Shop Floor Support
Work directly with manufacturing to resolve fit-up issues, design gaps, and non-conformances
Provide engineering input on repairs, modifications, and production challenges
Support safety-related engineering decisions during fabrication
Post-Production & Field Support
Assist with field issues, warranty investigations, and damaged equipment assessments
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions when required
