Team Lead, Fabrication

Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Fabrication, Team Lead to join our Manufacturing team, based out of our Calgary office.  The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and looks forward to growing personally and professionally with Exile. As our Control Panel Technician, you will be responsible to: 

• Lead all aspects of people management and development 
• Oversee and monitor the Control Panel Specialists’ progress and provide support and guidance on multiple projects and their assignments. • Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems 
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (employees, managers and clients) 
• Collaborate with project coordinators to prepare upcoming projects schedules to meet production dates and deadlines 
• Confirm compliance standards are met on all engineering drawings and identify problems or discrepancies with the design in relation to meeting code and CSA requirements 
• Ensure QA/QC documentation and as-built drawings are complete, meet acceptable standards, and are stored on the server as per standard operating procedures and communicate with the project managers on when documentation can be sent to the client  
• Schedule and coordinate inspections and quality control checks for project work to drive quality and electrical functional excellence 
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop, ensuring tool maintenance and inspections are up to date and all tools are functioning properly 
• Other adhoc duties may include or change at any time including shipping and receiving as needed, the completion of limacoid engraving and panel picture. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications Required: 

• Valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract 
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) 
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
•  Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills 
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
