Technical Sales Speicalist – Role Overview 

We're growing and looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join our Sales team. Reporting to the SaaS Sales Operations Manager, the Technical Sales Specialist will work closely with the SaaS Team, the Sales  Team, as well as the Technical Advisory Group as part of the overall objective of driving and supporting sales of our cloud-based products.

The primary focus of this role is on outside sales, where development, coverage and penetration of new accounts is required at a strategic and tactical level. Responsible for initiating prospect and client outreach via outbound B2B sales efforts as well as supporting inbound marketing campaigns, this role requires sales execution focus, support of technical demonstrations, and the ability to realize revenue growth. This focus extends to ensuring excellent customer satisfaction for prospective and existing clients.

You are highly motivated, detail-oriented, and can apply your well-developed technical sales skills towards building product awareness and ensuring our clients are optimally served as part of the sales cycle. Strong communication skills help you collaborate with clients and your colleagues.  

How will you spend your day?  

  • Significantly influence the subscriber and revenue growth for our cloud products
  • Work directly with our Senior Account Managers to uncover opportunities within their corresponding account base and prospects.
  • Follow up on inbound clients registering on our cloud-based products, driving engagement through a coordinated digital marketing approach, working closely with the Marketing department.
  • Plan sales execution with the SaaS Sales Operations Manager to ensure all cross-functional areas are aligned and activities are reinforced to drive results.
  • Provide sales and subject matter expertise for all components of the sales process, from prospecting to close.
  • Schedule and manage regular customer interactions: Product demonstrations, What’s New & Partner presentations as well as lunch and learns. 
  • Run sales calls independently or with internal resources including technical advisors and management to support the overall revenue growth targets.
  • Build exceptional relationships with our customers and help solve their issues and address their needs.
  • Stay current on company and competitive products, industry changes and overall industry trends.
  • Liaise with internal support groups to ensure requested action items are being executed in a timely manner. 
  • Enter all customer/lead day-to-day activities in Salesforce.
  • Assist with technical product discussions, provide feedback to internal development teams and ensure successful new client onboarding.
  • Measure, track, and evaluate progress, deliverables, milestones and required tasks with SaaS Sales Operations Manager.
