Telecommunications Technician

AS OUR TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO: 

• Execute fibre optic network installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Pull cable and install conduit to connect devices to network racks.
• Set up IP networks and install various security and environmental devices.
• Conduct terminations, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic networks.
• Boost cell and Wi-Fi signals and install phone systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to maintain network functionality.
• Maintain detailed records and generate reports on network performance.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations for a secure work environment.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize network performance and provide technical support.
• Manage projects efficiently with a limited crew, including site surveys and estimates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

• 5-10 years experience
• Fiber Splicing and testing experience.
• Networking experience – Ubiquiti Switches
• WIFI bridging Experience.
• Structured Cabling Experience
• Ability to manage small projects. 
• Ability to mentor junior technicians.
• Conduct presurvey for estimates
