Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Wash Bay Labourer, you will be responsible for general facility upkeep, maintenance and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials. Primary duties will be cleaning and washing equipment.

This role is based out of Leduc, Alberta

The Team

The team is dynamic and collaborative, working together to ensure the facility operates efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Team members are cross-trained to support various responsibilities, fostering adaptability and a sense of shared accountability in meeting operational demands.

Work Environment

The work environment is a full-time, permanent role based in a warehouse setting, where you'll be actively engaged in hands-on tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality, who thrives in a fast-paced, physically active environment. The team values hard work, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized facility.

A Day in The Life

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • General facility up-keep, maintenance and organization
  • Wash equipment that comes back from field
  • General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck
  • Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies
  • General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools
  • Inspects all assembly parts and reports defective material or questionable component conditions to management
  • Provide assistance to the facility manager with overall plant operations
  • Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated
  • General housekeeping of the facility
  • Other general labour duties as required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Previous steam, mobile, truck washing or shop laborer experience
  • Previous Forklift/ Bobcat/ Crane experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills
