<h2><strong>Job Description</strong></h2><p>NOV is seeking an <strong>Accounts Payable Specialist</strong> to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient preparation and processing of payment vouchers for vendor invoices and employee expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role provides a balance of routine financial activities and special projects, fostering both stability and continuous learning within a structured yet evolving setting.</p><h2><strong>A Day in The Life</strong></h2><ul><li>Oversee/assist in the daily accounting and finance activities for the division</li><li>Assist in the month-end close activities</li><li>Assist in the interim and year-end audit – preparing audit schedules, providing information at auditor’s request, providing explanation in variances, etc.</li><li>Initiating and implementing process improvements</li><li>Assist in the monthly reporting and analysis of financial results including detailed variance review of the month’s operational results, and review/preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations</li><li>Provide support and financial assistance in an efficient and timely manner to various stakeholders</li><li>Lead and/or support special projects such as IFRS standards implementation, complex accounting issues analysis and internal control process updates</li><li>Preparation of ad-hoc financial information</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>5+ years’ experience</li><li>A CPA designation is required</li><li>Experience in a public accounting firm is preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of IFRS is required</li><li>Strong knowledge of internal controls framework and testing processes</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills with highly developed interpersonal skills</li><li>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment</li><li>Advanced Excel skills</li></ul><p>The following are considered assets in this role:</p><ul><li>Experience in oil and gas industry is an asset but not required</li><li>Knowledge in the use of D365 and related reporting tools (Solver, PowerBI)</li><li>Adaptable and ability to work in fast paced environment</li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What's in it for you</strong></h2><p>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
