The position encompasses a multitude of accounting activities under tight deadlines, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial and operational accounting deliverables, data analysis, account reconciliations, and year-end and quarterly audit/review preparation for Black Diamond and its Indigenous Partnerships. &nbsp; The ideal candidate in this role demonstrates a proactive approach and initiative when handling reporting and analytical activities to ensure that all tasks are handled efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner. This person must be highly organized, with excellent time management and planning skills, and strong attention to detail. &nbsp;Responsibilities&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers for Black Diamond’s Indigenous Partnerships in accordance with IFRS, coordinate communication &amp; information internally, and act as the primary audit contact with external auditors •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare quarterly reports for Black Diamond’s Indigenous Partnerships which includes detailed qualitative and quantitative data analysis for presentation to Senior Management and distribution to Indigenous partners •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare various working papers in support of Black Diamond’s quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&amp;A •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare various financial and operational analysis for the desk and field audits relating to Black Diamond’s credit facility •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare quarterly internal financial statements for various Black Diamond legal entities for management, tax, and board review •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with the maintenance of the company’s financial close including data clean-up, validation and participate in new ERP implementation •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proactively identify and assist in the implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the financial reporting group •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Coach and mentor other team members •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with ad hoc requests as required &nbsp;Qualifications&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;CPA designation is required&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience in preparing year-end packages, including financial statements and notes •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience in internal and external audits •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proven analytical skills and demonstrated initiative to problem solve •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Possess a professional and ethical attitude with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines. •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Working experience with SAP Business One, NetSuite, Wdesk and Oracle EPM Cloud considered an asset •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Pro-active, self-starter •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work independently and as part of a team •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated team player with excellent customer service skills •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Must be fluent in English, both oral and written &nbsp;For more information, please visit <a href="http://www.BlackDiamondGroup.com" target="_blank">www.BlackDiamondGroup.com</a>
