The Electronics Technician - Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance department responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of Calfrac equipment. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Electronics Technician - Apprentice will focus on the repair and maintenance of all Calfrac equipment to company standards.OUR CULTURE:Calfrac, we believe in being an integral part of the communities where we operate and we support a variety of giving activities throughout the year. Whenever possible, the initiatives and organizations we undertake to promote and support fall into the following categories: Environment, Education, Indigenous, Social Services, Arts &amp; Culture and Community Sport.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:<ul><li>Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements</li><li>Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components</li><li>Maintain all recording and control software</li><li>Complete updates and modification requests</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis</li><li>Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs</li><li>Develop a base understanding of fracturing, coiled tubing and cementing operations</li></ul> KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:<ul><li>Flexible to work a variety of shifts (shift work, day shift, night shift)</li><li>Follow and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations</li><li>Energetic self-starter, able to work in a dynamic environment</li><li>Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintaining a high attention to detail</li><li>Excellent verbal and written English communication skills</li><li>Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels</li><li>Work under physically demanding circumstances</li><li>Able to write reports and work closely with maintenance administration personnel</li><li>Able to operate process control equipment</li><li>Must be mechanically inclined</li><li>This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening</li><li>This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening</li></ul>SCHEDULE:<ul><li>Local: Eight (8) days on, Six (6) days off&nbsp;</li><li>Rotational: Fourteen (14) days on, Fourteen (14) days off&nbsp;</li></ul> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Enrolled in, or working towards, an accredited one or two year technical school program or Journeyman Instrumentation Certification.</li><li>Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems</li><li>Experience with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset</li><li>High School Diploma/GED preferred</li><li>Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics recommended</li><li>Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting</li></ul>
