<h3>Description</h3>Internal Candidates - please apply by logging in to UltiPro.External Candidates - please apply with the Apply Now button.We are looking for skilled CNC Set-Up Operators for a challenging role to efficiently and safely setup and operate CNC equipment to machine high-quality components for Stream-Flo's products.Duties Include:<ul><li>Ensure processes and machine operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.</li><li>Maintain an acceptable level of productivity and efficiency.</li><li>Work in conjunction with Programming and Industrial Engineering to achieve and maintain best practices, including the maintenance of tooling and fixture inventory.</li><li>Stamp machinist’s ID on all pieces and re-stamp and/or mark heat numbers on pieces when heat numbers have been removed by machining.</li><li>Identify machining non-conformances by separation and/or marking.</li><li>Responsible to ensure product quality meets drawing specification.</li><li>Assist in maintaining machines, equipment, and workstations.</li><li>Follow work order and process traveler requirements and fill out job sheets or record time using ERP system.</li><li>Report all machine, crane, and hoist problems in the proper maintenance logs and notify Maintenance Department and/or Supervisor/Lead Hand of a down time situation.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of an operation or process.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:<ul><li>Relevant CNC post-secondary certificate/diploma preferred or equivalent experience.</li><li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of previous experience operating a Mazak, Doosan, and/or Mori Seiki lathes.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with part tolerance with +/-0.001.</li><li>Ability to identify and understand tooling, inserts and fixtures.</li><li>Familiarity with G-code programming.</li><li>Experience with dimensional measuring techniques and equipment.</li><li>Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and blueprints.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and quality.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude.</li><li>A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.</li><li>Solid work ethic and a willingness to learn.</li><li>Able to work effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills.</li></ul>The Stream-Flo Group of Companies, consisting of Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. and Master Flo Valve Inc., are privately owned and operated Canadian manufacturers of wellhead, production gate valve and check valve equipment, as well as chokes, specialty control valves and supporting actuation. NOV – Nisku Manufacturing – Currently have an opening for you to join our dynamic team as an CNC Machinist. NOV is committed to the growth of this facility and continue to invest to significantly expand our CNC machining capacity and capability.The placement is on a Takisawa machine. Operators can be cross trained across all &nbsp;machines.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Read blueprints, diagrams, measurement tools and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.</li><li>Perform precise measuring to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes.</li><li>Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.</li><li>Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.</li><li>Report any environmental and health &amp; safety issues that arise.</li><li>Assist with the training of other employees.</li><li>Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times.</li><li>Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment</li><li>Other duties assigned</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Up to 1year experience on setup and operation of CNC Lathes and or Mills</li><li>Takisawa machine experience preferred.</li><li>Able to carry out your own setups, perform first off inspections and make program changes/modifications to optimize processes and achieve product quality requirements.</li><li>Perform daily and frequent interval PM activities on equipment to ensure the machines are running at its optimum performance.</li><li>Excellent mathematical and numerical comprehension.
