<h2>Job Description</h2>NOV – Nisku Manufacturing – Currently have opening for you to join our dynamic team as an CNC Machinist. NOV is committed to the growth of this facility and continue to invest to significantly expand our CNC machining capacity and capability, with the addition of the latest technology CNC machines, equipped with twin spindles, dual tooling stations, high pressure/chilled coolants and IMM inspection.The placement is on a Okuma, Weingartner and Leistritz power section milling machines during the evening shift. Operators can be cross trained across all milling machines.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Read blueprints, diagrams, measurement tools and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.</li><li>Perform precise measuring to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes.</li><li>Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.</li><li>Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.</li><li>Report any environmental and health &amp; safety issues that arise.</li><li>Assist with the training of other employees.</li><li>Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times.</li><li>Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment</li><li>Other duties assigned</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Up to 1year experience on setup and operation of CNC Lathes and or Mills</li><li>Okuma / DMG Mori / Mazak / Weingartner experience preferred.</li><li>Mill-turns, live tooling, 3 axis lathes, 5 axis mills.</li><li>Insert selection, tooling recommendations and selection.</li><li>G-Code, Siemens / Heidenhain / OS300 controls.</li><li>A combination of formal higher trade/educational training and/or several years of progressive and practical CNC machining experience.</li><li>Able to carry out your own setups, perform first off inspections and make program changes/modifications to optimize processes and achieve product quality requirements.</li><li>Perform daily and frequent interval PM activities on equipment to ensure the machines are running at its optimum performance.</li><li>Extensive experience of operating two machines simultaneously in a lean manufacturing cell arrangement</li><li>Excellent mathematical and numerical comprehension.
