POSITION SUMMARYThe primary function of Document Control Support is to maintain, control, and distribute technical records for each project and ensure document control processes facilitate smooth transfer of engineering/construction documents.Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety”, adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, act professional and amicable, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.PROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station</li><li>Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)</li><li>Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off</li><li>Travel pay: $400/shift</li><li>Camp retention: $25/day</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES<ul><li>Build&nbsp;and maintain relationships with team members / sub-contractors to ensure document control procedures are being followed</li><li>Issue and distribute controlled documents</li><li>Follow project document control systems</li><li>Perform regular audits on field copies of IFC drawings</li><li>Maintain an organized, accurate, and secure document control room</li><li>Ensure received and issued transmittal log is kept current</li><li>Maintain an up-to-date Master Document Register</li><li>Review, submit, and track RFIs</li><li>Updating drawing and document binders as changes are made</li><li>Maintain electronic master files for IFC documents</li><li>Providing support for both the Turnover and Quality Control departments as required</li><li>Ensure documentation at site is stored and controlled according to process</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Working knowledge of construction documentation - P&amp;IDs, ISOs, Structural and Vessel Drawings, Material Test Report would be considered an asset</li><li>Working knowledge of engineering disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. would be considered an asset&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li><li>Meticulous record-keeping skills</li><li>Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Capable of working independently with minimal direction</li><li>Must demonstrate knowledge of document control processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Motivated team player with excellent interface skills at all levels</li><li>Previous experience in Quality Control (asset)&nbsp;</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>1-3 years of working experience in field is required for this position.</li><li>Must be willing to work at the above project site location</li><li>Previous experience working in an industrial construction industry</li><li>Excellent communication and people management skills.</li><li>Dynamic, self-disciplines and highly motivated.</li><li>Flexible and capable of working under pressure</li><li>Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing</li><li>Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Capable of working as part of a team</li><li>Fluent in speaking and reading&nbsp;English</li><li>Must be able to follow directions</li><li>Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint experience would be considered an asset</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike, we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative.
