ROLE STATEMENT: This role will work with a dedicated team utilizing our well established system of over 10 years and installed on more than 500 units. They will play an important part in new equipment control features, enhancing safety shutdown systems and updating end user applications with new features. As controls are designed specific for CWS, the potential candidate must be a self-starter, excited to learn and open to new approaches in communications, controls and HMIs.OUR CULTURE:Calfrac, we believe in being an integral part of the communities where we operate and we support a variety of giving activities throughout the year. Whenever possible, the initiatives and organizations we undertake to promote and support fall into the following categories: Environment, Education, Indigenous, Social Services, Arts &amp; Culture and Community Sport.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:<ul><li>Assist with the planning of new software projects</li><li>Maintain and modify existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior staff members</li><li>Assume responsibility for ongoing data architecture for product</li><li>Create and / or assist with creation of software from small modules to entire projects as required</li><li>Document all work and maintain appropriate version controls</li><li>Implement software changes in existing fleet</li><li>Provide effective communication with team for continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul> KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:<ul><li>Highly motivated, providing products of a high quality</li><li>Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and programming languages</li><li>Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members</li><li>Able to interface with professional service staff and other non-technical members of the organization</li><li>Comfortable in a time-sensitive, project driven, team based environment</li><li>Ability to challenge assumptions backed by a strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with a high attention to detail</li><li>Able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment</li><li>Team player with the ability to conduct work with utmost confidentiality and professionalism</li><li>Works and inspires others to work at high performance levels</li></ul> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience is preferred</li><li>Firmware experience</li><li>Embedding programming</li><li>&nbsp;PLC and Assembly</li><li>Ability to work with Linux based platforms</li><li>Microcontroller programming will be considered a key asset</li><li>Proficient in C++ and C# programming languages</li><li>SQL and OPC UA Experience</li></ul>We would like to thank all applicants for applying to this role but only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
