Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Manage the operational, strategic and tactical Procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with Holcim category strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications.</li><li>Act as the point of contact between Category Management Global and North America Regional and l and Operations.</li><li>Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in country, in line with regional and global strategies.</li><li>Identify saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at all operational levels.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and develop Procurement Managers, Warehouse Managers and Buyers.</li><li>Lead long and short-range regional procurement &amp; warehousing activities to support the Procurement roadmap and business objectives.</li><li>Provide procurement input at the Country, Plant, NA Regional and Business Segment levels to support the operation of the business.</li><li>Represent Head of Procurement in Exco meetings in WCAN</li><li>Attend Global Procurement meetings with Head of Global Procurement</li></ul>Dimensions:<ul><li>Reporting relationship: Reports to the Head of Procurement North America</li><li>Direct Reports: 5+ Procurement Managers</li><li>Indirect Reports: 14+Direct&nbsp;</li><li>Regional Spend: $1 Billion</li></ul>Relationships with Other Jobs:<ul><li>Country CEO and Executive Committee</li><li>Functional and Manufacturing Senior Management</li><li>Operational Management (e.g. Plant Managers)</li><li>Global and NA Region Category Management</li><li>Global Performance</li><li>Global Chief Procurement Officer</li></ul>Qualifications:&nbsp;Education:<ul><li>Bachelors/Undergraduate degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Economics with additional qualification in Management, Business, or Procurement (MBA) preferred.</li><li>Master’s/Graduate Degree Preferred</li><li>ISM CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)</li></ul>Experience &amp; Skill Set:<ul><li>10+ years in procurement role (category management, sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards</li><li>Demonstrated performance working within cross-functional teams, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered</li><li>Proven experience in leading a cohesive team while creating a vision and strategies towards achieving ambitious goals.</li></ul>Competencies:<ul><li>Leadership ability to influence across functions</li><li>Ability to build relationships</li><li>Costs/results focused</li><li>Strong strategic thinking skills and problem solving/analytical skills</li><li>Strong organization, planning and prioritizing skills&nbsp;</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul>As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required. &nbsp;YOUR LAFARGE EXPERIENCE At Lafarge, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
