<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3><p>Pason is seeking an Electrical and Automation Intern for a 16-month internship from May 2026 until August 2027. Through electrical hardware and software design, students will create solutions to automate test sequences for new and existing products.&nbsp; The student will interface with test engineering, design, manufacturing and contract manufacturers in Calgary.&nbsp; Some amount of site visits to our contract manufactures will be required to aid with implementation and troubleshooting. &nbsp;This position is very similar to a junior engineering position.</p><h3><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Design automated test software in LabVIEW that will conclusively prove that products meet the established standards for Pason equipment</li><li>Hardware design consisting of system level requirements, schematic capture, and PCB layout</li><li>Define product testability requirements and drive implementation in conjunction with product design</li><li>Procurement and assembly of test fixtures</li><li>Work with contract manufacturers to define, deploy, and troubleshoot test processes</li><li>Investigate recurring problems with equipment and work with R&amp;D staff to identify root cause of problems</li><li>Provide support to engineers from the Hardware and Test Engineering team</li></ul><h3><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail</li><li>Electrical design skills, including analog and digital circuits</li><li>Confident with software development</li><li>Electrical hardware knowledge from component to system level</li><li>Ability to work well in a team and individually</li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Experience with Altium Designer (or equivalent PCB design software) an asset</li><li>Experience with lab equipment and tools (Oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering)</li><li>Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required</li></ul><h3><strong>Education</strong></h3><ul><li>Currently enrolled in 3rd year studies in Electrical or Computer Engineering</li></ul><h3><strong>Pre-employment Conditions</strong></h3><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check</p><p>This job posting closes October 15, please ensure you have your application in before the deadline.&nbsp;</p>
