The primary function of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Sanjel Energy equipment and to provide support to field operations.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain and exceed Sanjel Energy's high standards concerning safety, quality, efficiency and communication</li><li>Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the district facilities and on location when required</li><li>Be on call (rotational) for unscheduled shop and field repairs</li><li>Support field operations on worksite for projects</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment using schematics</li><li>Configure various data acquisition/PLC based systems and instrumentation (pressure, flow, density, and temperature)</li><li>Perform calculations to determine calibration factors for various sensors</li><li>Install and commission electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic controls and systems on Sanjel equipment</li><li>Perform equipment updates and refurbishment</li><li>Assist Engineering with the testing and release of new equipment and systems</li><li>Mentor and train new personnel (Technical and Operational)</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or technical diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering</li><li>General understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems and components</li><li>Wiring, soldering and fabrication skills</li><li>Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Strong computer and networking skills</li><li>Self-motivated; ability to work with little or no supervision</li><li>Organizational and time management skills</li><li>Applied job knowledge, problem solving skills and decision making abilities</li><li>Previous experience with oilfield instrumentation and equipment is considered an asset</li></ul>Sanjel offers individuals a dynamic work environment.
