Project Engineer

We are seeking a Thermal Design Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a key role in advancing thermal design excellence for critical industrial applications.This is a senior role that blends deep technical expertise with leadership, ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on problem-solving, mentoring, and driving innovation in heat transfer design.What You’ll DoAs a Thermal Design Engineer, you will:<ul><li>Lead thermal and mechanical design of air coolers, shell &amp; tube heat exchangers, waste heat boilers, and sulfur condensers.</li><li>Perform thermal and vibration analyses, ensuring compliance with codes and client specifications.</li><li>Review, check, and approve engineering work—providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Support proposals by preparing engineering design packages, calculations, and technical input during bid stages.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Business Development) to align solutions with project and client goals.</li><li>Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions.</li><li>Stamp/sign deliverables as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).</li><li>Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes, leveraging digital tools, and embedding energy efficiency and sustainability in design.</li></ul>What You BringRequired<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.</li><li>10–15 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.</li><li>Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.</li><li>Proficiency with HTRI software and proven expertise in thermal analysis &amp; vibration.</li><li>Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design codes (ASME, API, ABSA).</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.</li></ul>Assets<ul><li>Active P.Eng. designation.</li><li>Structural engineering experience.</li></ul>Why Join Us?At EIL, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team where your expertise is valued and your leadership shapes the next generation of talent.
