The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure to ensure compliance with health and safety management systems and regulatory requirements.This is a full-time permanent position, based in an office setting.<h2>A Day in The Life</h2><ul><li>Oversee a team of H&amp;S professionals to administer the H&amp;S program.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise on the application and interpretation of SECURE safety programs including HSEMS, safety systems, policies, programs, procedures, and work standards.</li><li>Support, plan, coordinate and manage Health &amp; Safety initiatives.</li><li>Develop, monitor, and communicate SECURE health and safety management system, policies and procedures</li><li>Develop and communicate educational resources and technical aids for safety programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.</li><li>Lead and/or participate in audits (internal/external) across the organization. Identify risks and opportunities and provide solutions to close identified gaps.</li><li>Provide guidance to operational level to ensure compliance with HSEMS and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop effective communication strategies related to H&amp;S programs and systems.</li><li>Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of H&amp;S programs and systems.</li><li>Lead and manage team to support Contractor Management program, client portals and variance requests.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide lead support, planning, coordination, and implementation for Incident Management System project.</li><li>Develop, monitor, and communicate SECURE industrial hygiene program.</li><li>Collaborate and develop educational resources such as training programs and ensure effective rollout across organization.</li><li>Assist with training of accountable leadership.</li><li>Provide support on severe and serious potential incident investigations as required.</li><li>Lead all H&amp;S corporate audit programs (both internal and external) including COR.</li><li>Monitor and prepare reporting on H&amp;S statistical data, performance metrics, KPIs, targets.</li></ul><h2>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</h2><ul><li>A minimum of 10 years direct experience in industry related operations.</li><li>Post secondary education or equivalent in Occupational Health &amp; Safety.</li><li>Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation would be considered an asset.</li><li>Safety Management System including Industrial Hygiene, Emergency Management and major investigation experience and background.</li><li>A good understanding of the HSE regulatory process and principles.</li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure.</li><li>Strong ability to build working relationships and contacts within the organization as well as with external regulators, vendors, and contractors.</li><li>Ability to analyze health and safety statistical information.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
