This is a hands-on and leadership-focused position that bridges the gap between construction and operations—ensuring facilities, equipment, and teams are fully prepared for safe, reliable, and optimized performance. We welcome candidates from either an electrical or mechanical (millwright) background who have the ability to work across disciplines. If you’re strong in one trade and have solid working knowledge of the other—plus a knack for commissioning, troubleshooting, and mentoring—you’ll thrive in this role. You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to plan, execute, and refine readiness activities. From commissioning new facilities and optimizing existing systems to guiding surplus equipment refurbishment, this role combines technical expertise, operational insight, and leadership skills. POSITION SUMMARYThe HSE Field Coordinator works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide Management and Front-line Supervision client groups with guidance and support for the continual implementation and monitoring of the Strike Health, Safety and Environment Management System and related standards.&nbsp; This position requires a strong collaborative working style within at the respective project sites, with a focus on activities at the work face. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety”, adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.PROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station</li><li>Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)</li><li>Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off</li><li>Travel pay: $400/shift</li><li>Camp retention: $25/day</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES<ul><li>Assist operations management and employees with HSEMS and Safe Work Manuals</li><li>Develop and test emergency response plans (ERP) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP)</li><li>Work with manager and superintendent on daily basis to coordinate activities such as SSSPs, pre-job HIACs, site visits/inspections, incident reports and other daily HSE matters</li><li>Assist in the development of and then communicate and train on safe job procedures, safe work practices, and codes of practice</li><li>Assist with worker injury resolution, modified work programs and WCB claims management</li><li>Administer, review, mentor, analyze/trend and follow up on safety observation cards (SOC) on a regular basis</li><li>Monitor near misses and assist operational leaders to address, corresponding with severity</li><li>Assist and advise on hazard identification, assessment and control (HIAC)</li><li>Assist in coordination of online training delivered through Strike eSchool</li><li>Conduct safety activities, worksite inspections and safety observations.
