The role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to learn and use their US tax expertise within a growing, highly driven, geographically dispersed company.Responsibilities<ul><li>Working closely with multiple other finance functions, collect data necessary to prepare and maintain the income tax working papers and related analyses for U.S. federal and state income tax returns and forms</li><li>Prepare U.S income tax extensions and instalment calculations, and coordinate payments to relevant tax authorities</li><li>Assist with the financial statement processes and the related deferred income tax provision, including assisting with calculating the deferred income tax provision for the US business units</li><li>Assist in US income tax audit defense, including with the preparation of responses to federal and state income tax audits</li><li>Assist in the management and implementation of the Black Diamond Group’s transfer pricing policies, including assisting with the drafting of the related contemporaneous documentation</li><li>Part of the Black Diamond Group’s growth strategy has historically included M&amp;A activity, this role will assist in any M&amp;A planning, including financing and structuring, as well as participate in the tax due diligence procedures to the extent the US jurisdiction is involved</li><li>Prepare monthly account reconciliations for US income tax accounts</li><li>Correspond with various U.S. tax authorities as well as responding to tax notices received</li><li>Play a key role in the implementation of process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency in tax processes</li><li>Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the General Manager, Tax, including other ad-hoc research and analytics as required for US operations, and assisting with drafting internal memos/communications supporting tax positions taken</li><li>Help the tax function manage the general tax inbox and the related tax requests that arise</li><li>Liaise with third party tax advisors in relation to the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities</li><li>Build and maintain successful internal and external relationships with all US external stakeholders including outside advisors, external auditors, governmental tax auditors, and tax associations, as well as other internal team members and business functions</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>Over 7 years of relevant tax-related experience</li><li>Experience in SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite and/or TaxPrep is considered an asset</li><li>Strong computer and data analysis skills including intermediate Excel skills (using pivot tables, basic charts/formula)</li><li>High attention to detail and strong commitment to ensure deadlines are met</li><li>Strong analytical skills and takes initiative to solve problems</li><li>Ability to work independently while supporting the larger finance and accounting team</li><li>Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and external business partners</li></ul>For more information, please visit&nbsp;<a href="http://www.blackdiamondgroup.com/" target="_blank">www.BlackDiamondGroup.com</a>We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerBlack Diamond Group Limited is committed to diversity, equal opportunity and ensuring that our employees have the ability to thrive in an inclusive environment.
