CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in E&amp;I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion &amp; emissions reduction, and measurement. &nbsp;We are looking to hire a Purchasing Agent to join our team based out of our Fort. St. John&nbsp;branch. The Purchaser reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for managing the ordering, processing and procurement functions for all materials required for our maintenance and construction E &amp; I and Automation Divisions. While working alongside Project managers and Site Super Intendants from the Construction division and Maintenance Division. Ensure all materials are ordered in a timely manner, fall under the project’s cost analysis set out and pursue cost saving whenever possible. This position is integral to the sourcing, Procurement and purchasing for all CDN divisions.RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;<ul><li>Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication.</li><li>Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.</li><li>Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.</li><li>Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.</li><li>Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.</li><li>Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.</li><li>Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices.
