Position SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join our E&amp;I team for multiple projects.CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Update project control templates for cost and schedule reporting.</li><li>Manage Subcontractors.</li><li>Install, alter, repair, maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.</li><li>Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications.</li><li>Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.</li><li>Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.</li><li>Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes.</li><li>Supervise field teams.</li><li>Monitors and enforces safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitor field progress and report to the Site Supervisor or Construction Manager.</li><li>Plan work fronts and create lookahead schedules.</li><li>Lead a crew of 10-25+ workers.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug &amp; Alcohol Test.</li><li>Possess a valid Journeyperson certificate issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority.</li><li>Must be willing to travel to work sites.</li><li>Industrial/energy industry experience is a requirement.</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative. POSITION SUMMARYStrike's Project Coordinators provide technical and administrative support to the Construction Management team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing cost activities, subcontractor alignment and estimating construction projects of all sizes. The Project Coordinator analyzes, and forecasts project costs and provides detailed project information related to contractual schedule, scope and cost, recommending improvements or corrective actions for the project.&nbsp;The Project Coordinator also assists with identifying and the development of change orders.CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist project manager and superintendent with project performance (cost, schedule, administration, time entry).</li><li>Support construction coordination, planning, risk identification, and resolution of technical issues.</li><li>Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys for contract progress and reporting.</li><li>Maintain trade partner relationships by issuing tender packages, defining scopes, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.</li><li>Assist with change management, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost/schedule impacts.</li><li>Administer requests for information, shop drawings, and submittal processes.</li><li>Support project closeout, including document archiving, maintenance, and warranty.</li><li>Identify and resolve field technical issues.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONSEducation<ul><li>Applicable Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma in engineering or construction management</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>3-5 years of construction industry experience</li></ul>SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>Willing to travel and work at project sites across Saskatchewan.</li><li>Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, quality, safety, sequences, and building codes.</li><li>Ability to apply problem-solving principles to construction challenges and propose solutions.</li><li>Capable of creating schedules and administering subcontracts/contract documents.</li><li>Skilled in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.</li><li>Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude for new technology.</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a office in Saskatoon, we provide infrastructure, energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative.
