The primary duties include but are not limited to:</p><p>Provide technical guidance on the management of contaminated sites, largely in the upstream oil and gas sector</p><p>Provide senior technical review on regulatory, environmental monitoring, and closure reports</p><p>Technical leader on Environmental Site Assessments, including remediation projects</p><p>Develop Environmental Site Assessment plans, including remedial action plans</p><p>Review technical reports</p><p>Mentor junior and intermediate staff</p><p>Some field responsibilities such as site visits and providing guidance to field personnel</p><p>Participation in company and client-specific health and safety programs</p><h2><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h2><p>10+ years environmental experience in the upstream oil and gas sector</p><p>Professional sign off on contaminated sites work in Alberta and Saskatchewan</p><p>Thorough understanding of the regulations and processes for contaminated sites management in Alberta and Saskatchewan</p><p>Experience with Tier 2 guideline development, both pathway exclusion and site-specific guideline adjustments</p><p>Subsoil Salinity Tool experience and certification is considered an asset</p><p>Experience in human health or ecological risk assessments is considered an asset</p><p>Knowledge and experience with Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act approvals</p><p>Strong communication and technical writing skills</p><p>Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Teams</p><p><strong>The following are considered an asset</strong></p><p>Experience in rightsholder consultation (including regulatory consultation)</p><p>Hydrogeology experience</p><p>Consulting experience</p><p>Experience with OneStop, particularly with record of site condition submissions</p><h2><strong>Company Info:</strong></h2><p>Summit, An Earth Services Company has become the industry leader in the environmental services sector with operations in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
