Our unwavering dedication to deliver superior services defines us as Western Canada’s best provider of electrical &amp; instrumentation maintenance and major projects construction, industrial renewable/solar, automation, communications, fabrication, combustion &amp; emissions reduction, and measurement services.&nbsp;Our past successes, present opportunities, and future potential are fuelled by the investments we make: investments in our people, our partners, and our products.Join us and see why our commitment, determination, and our backbone of ambition are wrapped in three letters: CDN. &nbsp;The HSE Field Advisor is responsible for ensuring that CDN’s Safety Program and clients’ safety specifications are being met and adhered to, while providing knowledge and HSE guidance to the employees on site to minimize the potential hazards and risks associated to the work being completed on site.AS OUR HSE FIELD ADVISOR, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO:&nbsp;<ul><li>Keep current with Occupational Health &amp; Safety Regulations, client directive, client construction standards and procedures, and industry best practices&nbsp;</li><li>Provide guidance to employees and contractors with HSE procedures and inform them of new legislation and OHS regulations</li><li>Conduct worksite orientations as required for client representatives, sub-contractors, visitors, and industry representatives attending the worksites</li><li>Facilitate worksite safety meetings, training drills, and conduct worksite HSE observations, audits, and inspections</li><li>Take ownership and collaborate with the Project Management Team and HSE Services to ensure corrective actions from incidents, inspections, observations and employee observations are corrected in a timely manner</li><li>Attend operations meetings to ensure upcoming project safety and environmental requirements are in place and take accountability to complete Project Safety Plans prior to commencement</li><li>Provide site representation to projects requiring additional monitoring for critical high hazard or environmentally sensitive worksites</li><li>Develop site specific Emergency Response Plans, and execute mock drills to ensure the crew on site understands their roles and responsibilities.</li><li>Perform safety equipment checks and replenishing supplies as needed for: first aid kits, spill kits, fire extinguishers, and fire protection equipment</li><li>Assist with COR and project specific HSE audits at CDN worksite locations and prepares reports as directed</li><li>Assist with incident investigations and reporting, including transporting injured/sick workers to medical facilities</li><li>Transfer HSE field level documentation between site crews, head office operations, and various regional branches</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:&nbsp;<ul><li>Related post-secondary certificate (COHS) and typically 3 – 5 years of related HSE experience, or combination of formal education and experience&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of Health &amp; Safety Legislation and safety best practices&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in Health &amp; Safety program auditing is an asset</li><li>Attentive to detail and demonstrated organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative and independence when working alone</li><li>Ability to manage time and prioritize projects and daily tasks</li><li>Able to travel extensively to worksites within the specified region of responsibility, as required.</li><li>Industry recognized safety training such as H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, etc.</li><li>NCSO designation is an asset</li><li>Valid H2S, First Aid Level C- CPR &amp; AED, CSTS, and CSO</li><li>Valid class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract&nbsp;</li></ul>WHY CDN?We are driven by values, fuelled by performance, and obsessed to impress.
