We are hiring for a Data Scientist in our Calgary, Alberta Location!As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy data-driven solutions. You’ll analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and help drive strategic decision-making. You have a strong desire to solve business problems using data and analytically based solutions and have demonstrated the ability to find creative solutions to complex and challenging analytical problems.&nbsp;This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Explore, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to extract insights that improve our products and services&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and test predictive models (e.g., demand forecasting, pricing optimization, customer segmentation) and help integrate them into business workflows&nbsp;</li><li>Work with developers and product managers to deploy models into production, ensuring scalability and reliability&nbsp;</li><li>Develop algorithms and methodologies that optimize back-end processes and maximize revenue&nbsp;</li><li>Develop internal models/processes such as machine learning models, numerical optimization, statistical significance testing, and streaming event data processing&nbsp;</li><li>Promote the adoption of advanced analytics and data-driven thinking within LodgeLink&nbsp;</li><li>Work effectively with stakeholders to understand ambiguous business problems, assess data needs, develop/maintain best suited models or processes, and help strategize the deployment into production&nbsp;</li></ul>Technical Skills&nbsp;<ul><li>Proficient in Python and SQL, and additional software experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Familiar with machine learning modelling (classification, regression, clustering) across a variety of implementations (linear, neural networks, svm, tree-based, bandits, etc) and frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, Sagemaker, Prophet etc)&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled in applying statistical test (e.g. t-test, chi-squared, non-parametric etc), experiment design, and causal inference models to real-world problems&nbsp;</li><li>Experience deploying models in cloud environments (Azure, AWS)&nbsp;</li></ul>Experience&nbsp;<ul><li>B. Data Scientist

Position Summary:Reporting to the Director, Innovation &amp; IT Services, the Product Owner (User Experience Specialist) will be primarily focused on the enhancement of user experience for our digital platforms including mobile app and the billing platform. The Product Owner (User Experience Specialist) focuses on guiding the customer and user experience on these platforms and will advocate for customer experience to ensure value is brought to the customer, ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Collaborate with the Director, Innovation &amp; IT Services to define and communicate the product vision and strategy for our digital platforms.</li><li>Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and other key business units, to gather requirements and feedback. Advocate for customer outcomes to improvement experience. The role will actively seek and incorporate customer feedback, ensuring alignment to business objectives are met.</li><li>Strive to improve our customer experience, reducing friction for customers to interact with UFA in our digital platforms.</li><li>Clearly define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for features and enhancements.</li><li>Deliver product results aligned to the solution, working with project managers and other team members to ensure results and outcomes are realized in a timely and cost-effective manner.</li><li>Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to plan and execute, ensuring that deliverables align with the customer product vision and business goals. Assist the Scrum Master in prioritizing features to align to customer outcomes.
