The primary function of this position is to address mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components of Sanjel Energy equipment. Seeking Journeymen with CVIP experience and current License. Red Seal required. Exceptional 4th year apprentices would be considered.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Work alongside a team of mechanics, prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the efficient operation within the facility; fosters a culture of dedicated Safety and teamwork</li><li>Perform regularly scheduled CVIP inspections, and other assigned fleet maintenance tasks and duties</li><li>Complete refurbishments and updates to existing Sanjel equipment</li><li>Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment</li><li>Check equipment for proper performance</li><li>Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required</li><li>Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools</li><li>Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications</li><li>Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal</li><li>Current CVIP License with direct CVIP experience is required</li><li>Strong 4th year apprentices would be considered</li><li>Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pumps, electrical skills, mechanical assembly etc.</li><li>Mechanical training in the oilfield industry (field experience) an asset</li><li>Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract</li><li>Thorough safety knowledge and practice</li><li>Driven, engaging individual who is a team player and can offer strong problem solving skills</li><li>Candidates with Military/Canadian Armed Forces experience are encouraged to apply</li></ul>Sanjel offers individuals a dynamic work environment. The Operator-Bulk Plant will primarily be responsible for blending and loading cement, chemicals, and/or acid needed to perform each job, and for maintaining the bulk plant and chemical inventory.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review job proposals or call sheets from Coordinators to understand nature of job, volumes required, and to prepare for blend</li><li>Calculates, pours, measures, and weighs chemicals/cement/acid blends</li><li>Monitor pneumatic pressure of tanks and control values to increase/decrease flow of materials from one tank to the next during blending and loading processes</li><li>Load blended cement/chemicals/acid to Bulk trucks for transport to customer site; retain a field sample of blended cement or acid for back up or testing purposes</li><li>Track and maintain inventory of chemicals, cement, and acid; order routine cement or raw acid products from pre-established suppliers as needed</li><li>Load and unload orders from suppliers through use of pallet jacks and forklifts</li><li>Perform maintenance and repairs on Bulk Plant equipment (blowers, Bulk equipment, forklifts, etc.)</li><li>Assists with driving Bulk Trucks and Acid Transports to load cement and acid as needed</li><li>Complete, submit, and maintain required paperwork (i.e., inventory levels, freight, blend/load documentation, etc.)</li><li>Always maintains Sanjel Safety Standards: shop, yard, location and while traveling</li><li>Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately to supervisor</li><li>Attends weekly Safety Meetings</li><li>All other duties assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Class 5 driver’s license with a CLEAN ABSTRACT</li><li>Highly safety conscious</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team; strong sense of teamwork</li><li>Problem recognition and solving skills</li><li>Strong math skills - able to understand and calculate ratios, percentages, and volumes</li><li>Working knowledge of Emergency Response Plans, Location and use of all required safety equipment, Firefighting and hydrogen sulfide beneficial</li><li>Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:<ul><li>Overtime pay</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li></ul>Flexible language requirement:<ul><li>French not required</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>12 hour shift</li><li>On call</li><li>Overtime</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul>Application question(s):<ul><li>Where are you currently located?</li><li>Additional information is important.
