POSITION SUMMARYThe&nbsp;primary function of the&nbsp;Lead Hand is to provide direction, on-floor leadership and continuous improvement of the production processes, procedures, and equipment. A Strike Lead Hand provides leadership and scheduling, and coordinates, supervises and ensures the safety and productivity of their assigned labourer.Note: This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings. Future openings are anticipated but not guaranteed.PROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Northern AB &amp; BC</li><li>17 on/4 off shift</li><li>LOA or Camp</li></ul>SCOPE OF WORK<ul><li>Integrity digs</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Operate 2-5 ton picker trucks, telehandlers, skidsteers and AWP</li><li>Participate in daily toolbox Meetings</li><li>Participate in safety/incident investigations and reviews</li><li>Complete Task Hazard Assessments, Drivers Logs, and review Job Site Assessments</li><li>Manage and maintain client relationships</li><li>Apply project procedures, work site policies and collective agreement requirements Ensure quality and inspection of installation</li><li>Complete quality reports and required statistics</li><li>Inform the Superintendent of any out of scope work</li><li>Move equipment and materials between sites</li><li>Load and unload construction materials and equipment for transporting to work locations, following applicable safety securement protocols</li><li>Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor</li><li>Maintain all equipment and tools in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand</li><li>Managing and performing general housekeeping and daily clean-up of work area</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONSEducation<ul><li>CSTS, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP, First Aid</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>Capable of setting and managing priorities to meet all deadlines</li><li>Strong coordination skills and organization skills</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Ability to successfully&nbsp;complete a&nbsp;pre-employment drug and alcohol&nbsp;test</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative.
