Like a diamond we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast pace and challenging environment.&nbsp;We have a full-time permanent position for a&nbsp;Service Technician to join our Calgary Branch.The Service Technician is an essential role within the BOXX Modular branch. The role is responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and repair to ensure that our Modular rental fleet is in optimal condition for our customers. In addition, the role is responsible for assisting in completing work to configure modular units to customers specifications by installing kitchenettes, building walls, and other work as required. The work is completed both in the yard (outside), in our shop and occasionally out on customer sites.The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded general contractor or handyman, with experience in areas such as floor, window and wall repairs and exterior siding.&nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities :<ul><li>Floor repairs, including tile work</li><li>Wall building and repairs</li><li>Installing Kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks</li><li>Exterior Steel Siding Work</li><li>Fitting and Installing Windows, Doors, Molding’s and Hardware</li><li>Cleaning of Modular Units</li><li>Performing Yard/shop maintenance and clean up</li><li>Material handling</li><li>General, Rough and Finish Carpentry, and Framing</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul>Qualification :<ul><li>One to three years of general construction and/or handyman experience (Modular or trailer/RV experience an asset)</li><li>Must be able to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, while manageable deadlines</li><li>Collaborative team player</li><li>Positive attitude and great work ethic</li><li>Willing to travel to customer site on occasion within the local service area, during work hours</li><li>Must be fluent in English both oral and written</li><li>Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Abstract is required.</li><li>Fall protection, First Aid, WHMIS an asset</li><li>Forklift/tow motor ticket an asset</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Working outside in all weather</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Comfortable with working outdoors in all weather</li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods and repetitive movements.</li></ul>BOXX Modular is a subsidiary of Black Diamond Group.
