Like a diamond we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast paced and challenging environment.We have a full-time position as a Manager, Operations Accounting in our Head Office in Calgary, AB.Reporting to the Vice President, Operations Controller MSS, the Manager Operations Accounting – ERP will be responsible for the accounting functions of Modular Space Solutions (MSS) Division as the division takes on implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning system. The Manager Operations Accounting - ERP is responsible for aiding the Business Unit with accounting functions, detailed analysis, month-end, reporting and budget &amp; forecasts.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Works with the Vice President, Operations Controller MSS with updates for the accounting for the division</li><li>Provide oversight of the division accounting functions including ensuring month-end accounting processes are followed and results comply with the company’s accounting policies;<ul><li>Works with the team of performing related accounting work for divisions across North America</li><li>Conducts analytical review of business unit performance and results to budget, for monthly&nbsp;management reporting, forecasting, accruals and actuals</li></ul></li><li>&nbsp;<ul><li>Review all weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for accuracy and reliability</li><li>Review and analyze business unit financial forecasting including income statement, capital and&nbsp;cash flows;</li></ul></li><li>&nbsp;<ul><li>Upload accruals and journal entries in SAP for posting</li><li>Prepares and evaluates financial operating reports and presents findings and recommendations;</li><li>Oversees monthly sales commission for MSS Sales Team</li><li>Participate in partnership audits as required by stakeholders which includes intercompany, interdivisional and Joint Venture elimination processes</li><li>Support Senior Leadership &amp; Regional Management in preparing budget &amp; forecasts and reporting of actuals</li><li>Support management in all accounting, audit, tax, treasury and controls related issues</li><li>Assist in performing ad hoc analysis for internal reporting purposes</li><li>Assist Corporate Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting and external auditors for business&nbsp;unit audit requests and external reporting</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>&nbsp;<ul><li>Ensuring proper adherence to all administrative and operational processes, procedures and&nbsp;policies in relation to assets; and provide feedback to effectively design preventative and detective controls to aid in the accuracy timeliness of financial statements</li><li>Regularly offers process improvement ideas, shares best practices and facilitates standardization among divisions</li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>University Degree in Finance or Accounting</li><li>Professional accounting designation is required</li><li>Rental and Project accounting experience is an asset</li><li>5+ years’ experience in accounting or an accounting related role</li><li>Previous leadership experience is an asset</li><li>IFRS Accounting experience is an asset</li><li>Extensive experience and understanding of accounting programs, ERP Systems and Microsoft Applications</li><li>Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments</li><li>Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines</li><li>Excellent analytical skills and takes initiatives to solve problems</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul>We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerBlack Diamond Group Limited is committed to diversity, equal opportunity and ensuring that our employees have the ability to thrive in an inclusive environment.
